The Infiniti Pro by Conair Spin Air Rotating Styler?

A big, unenthusiastic yes.

This item appears to be a super time saver and much more affordable than other straightening aids.

"Appears" being the operative word.  I received this item as a gift, and could not wait to try it out.  I have an Instyler, but you have to dry your hair first to use it.  Boooring!  This product claims to dry your hair while styling it.  Who could say no?

I started with towel dried hair which had been combed out.  The Infiniti Pro is large and not as easy to handle as it looks.  The styler is 15" long and the end that you hold is 7" around... not easy to keep hold of while it spins.   Also, you can spin the bristles both ways.  This would be a nice feature if there was a sliding lever to switch directions.  You control the spinning by a very sensitive button that you have to hold down to keep the styler going in that direction.  If you accidentally spin in the other direction (easy to do, the buttons are close to one another) the styler gets stuck in your hair.  This product would be so much better if it only spun in one direction.  In addition, there are 4 settings Off, Low (very little to no heat), High (feels like using a hot exhaust pipe) and Cool, which is about the same as "Low".

Also a problem are the bristles.  They are not very thick and after only one use, are bent over sideways after being tangled with hair.  This renders the brush useless unless you remove the hair after every use.  I know that's not a hard job, but the bristles should be more durable.

I have no idea how this product won the 2011 Star Beauty Awards product of the year (Oh, wait, yes I do!).

OK, so we all agree that the styler is... unruly, but I know you are asking "How did you hair turn out!?"  Well, it looked great at first.  After brushing out all the tangles my hair was very soft, smooth, and had great volume.  After about 12 hours my hair started getting greasy, no doubt from the drying / styling time and all the handling I had to do with my hair.

My solution?  Buy an Instyler which is one of the greatest inventions ever and skip this dud.  The Inifiniti Pro is about half the price of one, but save the $50 you would spend on this and buy the Instyler. Heck, buy a $10 straightener from Target, a gallon of milk, a bottle of Kahlua, and 20 reusable shopping bags, and you will still have a better hairstyle, save the environment, and have a rocking buzz.

So in summation, this is a HUGE, styling tool that either puts out very little to no heat, or scorches your head like a blow torch. You hold the said giant to your head while it spins your hair into an unmanageable mess, littered with gobs of tangled hair that look like birds nests with an OK style that lasts a few hours but took 45 minutes to get.  Good times!

Time to fix hair with this product:                          45minutes
Time to fix hair with blow dryer and Instyler:        30 minutes
Time to fix hair with blow dryer and straightener: 25 minutes

People who will like this product:                Maybe people with really short hair.  Maybe
People who will not like this product:          People who don't like knots and fuzzy hair

Will I buy this again?                                   Nope
Is the price right?                                          Nope.  Save up for an Instyler or use a straightener
Husband's remark?                                        None

Body Wraps from It Works?

I sure have, and this skeptic was very suprised!

Also known as the "Ultimate Body Applicator", these wraps are nothing short of amazing.  I had read about them online, and saw a few different people selling them.  Recently, I saw that a friend was selling these and asked her if she could come help me do a wrap.

Before you do your wrap, make sure you have saran wrap and a tape measure.  You'll understand in a second. We measured my "middle" in 3 different locations, at my belly button, and about 6 inches higher and lower.  Make sure that you mark where you measure on your SIDE (and not in the front like I did... the wrap will take the ink off) with a permenant marker.  Also, you may want to take a picture to compare your before and after.  Then we applied the wrap.  And by we I mean she.  It was very handy to have a second person, although I am sure I could do this by myself.  "We" opened the wrap carefully, and applied it to the area.  It smells nice, kind of like Mentholatum mixed with Aveda oil.  After the wrap is applied, it's time for the saran wrap.  This was a new experience; I felt like I was getting ready to go on Dexter's table.  (As side note, to lose even more inches, just wrap yourself tightly with saran wrap ;)  Then we waited.  It's only 45 minutes so she agreed to go ahead and stay.

After the 45 minutes was up, we removed the wrappings.  There was a little extra gel left on my skin, but it soaks in pretty easily.  It is the same as the Defining Gel also sold by It Works, so don't waste any!  After only 45 minutes I had lost 4" (measured in three areas).  I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it for myself.  This was almost a week ago, and I have lost a total of 5".  The product says that your final result will take 72 hours, and that is about right.  The product also says that for maximum result to do 4 wraps.  I look forward to doing it again.

This product definitely tightened my skin and reduced the signs of cellulite.  My skin also feels smoother.  I can fit in shorts that I haven't worn in... well, a long time.  I really would not have believed the results if I hadn't seen them for myself.

I could see this being a lifesaver for people with loose skin from pregnancy or weight loss.  Actually, I think anyone would see results from this unless you have a perfect, well defined body.

Also, I believe that with the proper supplements, this product could really help you look great!  I am excited to try out more products.

My suggestion?  Become a Loyal Customer to get the wraps at about half price.

I used another wrap (my second) on Thursday. I have lost an additional 2" and I can definitely tell that my skin is smoother and my cellulite shows less. I feel like I am wearing Spanx all the time. I should have the defining gel in soon, and I will do a review on it too. Yay!

Let me know if you would like to try one :)

Suave Keratin Infusion Dry Shampoo?

Why yes I have thank you very much!  I have tried just about every dry shampoo on the market from $5.00 to almost $50 (I hope Thad doesn't see this!).  I finally quit trying after my 10th or so purchase.

Did you guys watch Fashion Star, the reality show that was on this spring?  Well, I did and every other commercial was for the new line of Suave Keratin products.  "Have sleek, smooth, easy to style hair!" claims Nicole Ritchie.  On a shopping trip to Wal Mart, I decided to try out the shampoo.  It's Suave so for around $2.50 you can't really go wrong.  The shampoo, conditioner and leave in treatments were out of stock, but... they had the dry shampoo.  Bah!  Should I try it?  Heck, for less than $3.00 with tax I couldn't say no.

Here in Louisiana during Summer, a nice blow out doesn't last more than a day or two.  I first tried this product on day 2 of my blow out and I couldn't believe how manageable, straight and texturized my naturally curly hair was!  This is an aerosol spray, so you don't have to worry about all of the product ending up in one spot (baby powder anyone??).  There is a slight powdery residue, but once you brush your hair it blends in well.  I use it at night and my hair looks great the next day.   There is no odd smell, actually it smells kind of nice.  Some of the other dry shampoos I have used smelled like old trash and the stuff that comes out of an airbag when it deploys.  Phew!

Also, I have a fairly oily scalp, and this absorbed everything with no problems.  I wash my hair, blow dry, straighten it and am fine for about 24-36 hours.  Once it starts looking "droopy" or oily I use this to... complement my blow out.  This product can easily extend your hairstyle for a day or two.

People who will like this product: Anyone who "blows their hair out" or wants/needs to wait one more day before washing.
People who will not like this product: People with very tight curly hair, mermaids

Will I buy this again?    Yes!  I have 6 cans under my sink!
Is the price right?           Heck Yes!  Less than $3.00
Husband's remark?        "Smells nice"

Total Score:  8.925/10
